WORLD DRAUGHTS CUPS, ASTANA (Kazakhstan). Results from the Rapid program have been added.

The IDA World Cup for large-board draughts is being held in Astana. We saw Alexander Georgiev and Alexander Getmansky, as well as numerous draughts players from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. With the current division of draughts sports, any competition in the Asian region brings some variety.

We try to take a realistic view of the situation in world checkers. You can have different opinions about different organizations in the world, but… It is incredibly difficult to organize tournaments and bring people together. However, it is still possible to play with the best players in the world on a large board, despite the division and decline of checkers in the world.
