The Russian Draughts World Championship has started today! The composition and organization are at the highest level! Among the noted participants is Alexander Georgiev! I remember the expression of Alexander, which he addressed to many fans of draughts: “Love draughts and they will reciprocate!”. And draughts on a small board reciprocate and give us vivid emotions.
And while many proud federations are engaged in boycotts and people who want to do a lot for the development of draughts (Robert and Olesya Misany, Damian Reshka, etc.) are leaving them, very significant events are taking place in the world! And one of them is undoubtedly the World Championship in Russian Draughts in 2024!
06.09.2024. Roman Schukin won the Blitz today. It should be noted the character of Roman, who won the last three games of the main tournament. At the same time, the victories in the last two rounds were very significant! (wins in rounds 7 and 8 over Andrey Valyuk and Gavriil Kolesov).
Sandaara Aprosimova was the strongest in the women’s competition!

Event of the day: On the opening day of the World Draughts Championship, a birthday greeting was held for Gavriil Kolesov. It was a pleasant surprise for Gabriel!
