The women have just started, but the men are already finishing up
We completely forgot to remind our readers about the anniversary men’s chess championship in Poland. We’re correcting this small oversight and providing a link to the results table, where you can view the tournament games. The prize fund is slightly smaller than the women’s, but it’s still generous and includes a prize for every player.
According to official information:
The field will include all three medalists from last year’s Polish Championship (including the reigning champion, Sebastian Wieczorek), players who advanced from the March semifinals, as well as Mateusz Wysokiński, who has joined the final lineup. The championship will take place in a unique setting—the participants will take their seats at the checkers boards in the Sulkowski Palace.
More than just the most important national title is at stake. The total prize fund is at least 20,000 zlotys, and all twelve finalists will receive prizes.
