The Return of the Legendary “Domātprieks” Club and Tournament
Back in the day, Robert and Olesya Misans founded one of the most promising draughts clubs in Latvia. This laid the groundwork for a comprehensive and professional approach to the game and the development of the draughts movement in the country. It was the club’s yellow color that began to appear more and more frequently on the podiums of European and world competitions. At the height of the club’s success, Robert Misans became president of the federation. It was not easy at that time, but it was understandable and predictable.
Every year, the club hosted legendary tournaments that attracted many talented young players. The tournaments were held at the city’s most prestigious venues. Photographers and videographers were always on hand at these events. The colorful opening and closing ceremonies were a treat for the eyes. And now, years have passed….
The tournament is back. We’ll check the results on Saturday and look forward to seeing some great photos.
