The coach’s team of talented students wins
The Polish Blitz and Rapid Draughts Championships are being held in the small Polish village of Rychlik. The competitions include both individual and team events. And very soon, the national women’s championship will also get underway. An interesting linguistic observation: the name of the Polish village Rychlik translates from Czech as “high-speed train.” A mysterious coincidence.
In the team championship, it is worth noting the victory of the UKS Roszada Lipno 2 team, for which Vydzerka Heorhi—who moved from the Republic of Belarus—competed. Heorhi is now passing on his experience to Polish draughts players and, according to our information, is coaching some of the country’s players. And judging by the results of the Polish draughts players at the recent European Youth Championships in Tallinn, his work is proving successful.
