We’re making up for our editor’s oversight, who missed one of the most exciting events of last week. The national longboard championship was held in the Republic of Belarus. We congratulate Alexei Kunitsa on winning the championship title!
It’s hard to immediately pinpoint the top three finishers in the main tournament. Naturally, the favorites were the experienced players in this style of checkers: Sergey Nosevich and Evgeny Vatutin. But Sergey lost two games and finished in sixth place, while Evgeny was unable to catch up to Alexey in the final sprint for the title. In the women’s competition, Viktoria Nikolaeva has shown remarkable consistency. Our website would like to congratulate Viktoria Belaya on her outstanding result.
