International Draughts Final as part of the 2025 World Cup

In accordance with the Competition Calendar for 2025, the International Draughts Federation (IDF) is holding international draughts-64 competitions in St. Petersburg (Russia) as part of the 2025 World Cup.

The total prize fund of the competition will be 1,000,000 rubles.

The World Cup Final will feature athletes from 8 countries, including 29 men and 23 women who have qualified through the six stages of the 2024-2025 World Cup.

Among them are the most titled athletes – champions and prize-winners of the World Championships of different years, international grandmasters:
Valuk Andrey, Taranin Georgy, Kunitsa Alexey, Shchukin Roman, Dashkov Oleg, Tsinkman Dmitry in men
Nikolaeva Victoria, Petruseva Polina, Taranina Maria, Aprosimova Sandaara, Arkhangelskaya Anastasia, Leopoldova Nika in women;
champions of Asia: Muraliev Laziz and Bozorova Nigina from Uzbekistan, Ruan Weiyu and Liu Pei from China.
Competitions are held separately for men and women.

At the opening, the participants of the competition were welcomed: Vladimir Langin, President of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) of Draughts Alexey Shonin, Vice President of the Russian Draughts Federation

Chairman of the St. Petersburg Regional Branch of the Committee of National and Non-Olympic Sports of Russia (CNNVS of Russia) Shakirov Ralif Radikovich, who awarded draughts figures from St. Petersburg Andrey Napreenkov and Victoria Avdeeva with medals for the development of draughts in St. Petersburg
