Creativity as a systematic and professional approach to sports
Here are the words from Ainur Shaybakov’s interview: “Aynur, which countries do you think have the strongest players in the world in international draughts?
– I would highlight the training system and draughts players from three countries: China, the Netherlands, and Russia.
The Netherlands: Professionally. The pyramid-shaped structure is a multi-level training system for athletes that combines an innovative approach and research activities. I believe that out of the 12 strongest athletes in the world at the moment, 4-5 players will be represented by this country.”
We fully support Ainur Shaybakov’s opinion and sincerely believe that the Netherlands remains the only country in Europe that has been conducting systematic and constructive work in the field of draughts sports up to the present day.
The only thing that raises our concerns is the unclear foreign policy and interaction with the FMJD. We believe that the Dutch Federation can function independently and potentially join forces with the strongest federations in the world to create a new professional union.
However, this is just our personal opinion.
In the meantime, let’s enjoy the creativity of Dutch draughts players and watch the excellent broadcasts with Harm Wiersma and Ester van Muijen .
