Championship of the small part of Europe (results of blitz added, 09.08.2023)
So, the championship of the part of Europe has begun, which by the number of countries represented raises questions about the development of draughts’ sports. Although for many countries with a deteriorating level of development of the draughts’ movement, this is a chance to get on the podium again and boast at the level of local party organizations.
A small number of countries and lack of competition, unfortunately, does not contribute to the development of sports. And participation of 70 players from one country in the blitz-programm, which was already announced by representatives of one of the very proud federations, raises the question of the complete meaninglessness of the name of this tournament as the European Championship. Ordinary mass tournament.

A simple question arises, which we have already asked in our articles: is the functioning of FMJD in the future of financial and sporting interest as an organization that promotes the development of draughts?
