The battle of mental and physical exhaustion will be broadcast on RTV Drenthe. Wouter Sipma will play against 52 experienced opponents. Calculations show that the grandmaster spends only a few seconds per move on average. In addition, he has to move from board to board at lightning speed and
make difficult decisions at all times. To set a world record, Wouter Sipma must achieve a score of 70 percent or 73 points.

For the 32-year-old captain of the national team Hijken DTC, this session will be his first experience in such a challenging form of draughts competition. “Great champions such as Alexander Schwartzman (against
25 players), Jean-Marc Njofang (33 players), and Alexander Georgiev (45 players) were among the first to conduct simultaneous games. In 2023, Teamnl colleague Martijn van IJzendoorn set a new record by playing against 50 opponents.
