My soul longed for something pure, something so bright and memorable. And today we’ll take a peek at Samara—at the annual “Volga Dawns” tournament, now in its 29th year.
The tournament, held annually in Samara, attracts a huge number of participants from all over Russia. This time, the Kemerovo Region turned out to be the farthest-traveled region. Guests also arrived from Bashkiria and Kaluga, the Oryol and Nizhny Novgorod Regions, the Republic of Mari El, and many other places. The tournament will feature the following grandmasters: Sergey Belosheev and Yuri Korolev, Vladimir Milshin and Alexey Dragunov… The competition at the boards is expected to be fierce and uncompromising.
