A weekend of fast-paced stories
The last weekend of September was very eventful for draughts players. On Saturday and Sunday, tournaments were held in the Blitz and Rapid programs at the World Championship for Veterans, as well as in the Russian Championship for Men and Women.
There was a little confusion at the World Championship for veterans. The “world” organization had handed over the management of the World Championship to a single proud federation. Suddenly, it turned out that there were no medals or prizes in the 60+ category. Many veterans were very upset and dissatisfied.
At the Russian Championship among men in the Rapid program, Sergey Belosheev once again confirmed the undeniable fact that fast programs are his “specialty”. Today, we are closely monitoring the Blitz programs.
