The lost generation. Thanks to and in spite of

Latvia is hosting an absolutely useless Russian draughts championship among boys and girls. In five years of boycotts and restrictions from limited people, the country has lost a whole galaxy of young and talented draughts players. A whole generation of young draughts players just played in the national championships for fun and cheating.

This year, two out of three more or less active players will finish playing in the U19 group. It is already possible to apply for a candidate search. The U16 group is already recruiting everyone who is not too lazy to come. And to the question “And then where will we play?” there is a great answer from the joke: “V… nowhere.”

Considering that several more coaches have finished training this year and some clubs will be closed, the situation continues to “improve”. When idiots rule and suckers are afraid, there can be no other way.

The phrase was coined for them: “They follow the requirements of the political market situation.”
