In five years of boycotts and restrictions from limited people, the country has lost a whole galaxy of young and talented draughts players. A whole generation of young draughts players just played in the national championships for fun and cheating.

Soon, in order to celebrate their victory in the overall championship, they will have to ask not only the draughtsmen from DK Hameleons and Bolderaja not to come, but also the Dambrete club to refuse to participate.
Latvia’s weakest international draughts championships on the big board have started. The championships are getting weaker year by year. Players like Guntis Valneris, Roberts Misans, Zoya Golubeva simply stopped participating in them. Over the years there have been no young players who have shown a really decent level. And the situation will only get worse.
The Latvian Student Championship was recently held. Of the 19 people, almost half of the participants were younger than freshmen and still without a mustache. This is exactly the result reached by the leaders of the process of the collapse of the tournament among the applicants of RTU. That’s why it was worth ruining the tournament, which was really for students and those who want to enroll in higher education institutions.
The Latvian championships in Rapid and Blitz game were held this weekend. There were no surprises. Always the second remained the second. And the leaders remained the leaders. It was this eternally second one who advocated conflict with the IDF at the time. Maybe that’s why he’ll always be second?

Bauska won the national championship among Russian draughts teams in Latvia! Since Soviet times, the Russian draughts school has been extremely strong. Back in the days of Laimonis Zalitis, it was not easy to defeat the guys from Bauska.
