This Sunday the World Championship in international draughts among veterans has begun. 25 people have gathered. And again the Dutch saved the championship. If at one point they decide to participate in the championships like other countries (which send one player each), then such an event will lose its meaning. Not to mention its notorious unprofitability.

Another beautiful tournament for children organized by draughts club ‘Domatprieks’ will be held this Saturday. It has become a good tradition that clubs which are not a part of the Latvian Draughts federation organize tournaments more efficiently and professionally than others.
