We play fast and lightning fast! (European Championship results: Rapid and Blitz)
As we have already noted, the European Championships in Turkey are held at a very high level. There were many mistakes in the Rapid and Blitz programs, as well as unexpected results. After the classic program, there were changes in the composition of the participants. Instead of Alexander Georgiev, Ilya Ilyasov and Timofey Proskurin appeared in the new programs of the European Championships.
Also, Sergey Belosheev, who almost always plays fast programs well, created even more intense competition in these tournaments. Considering Sergey Belosheev’s very good preparation in the Brazilian version, most of the predictions about the medalists were predictable.
