See the Po Nagar Towers and the Golden Bridge in Da Nang
The International Draughts Federation (IDF), in accordance with the Competition Calendar for 2026, is holding the Draughts World Cup-64 — International Competition “Vietnam-2026” in Mui Ne (Vietnam) from October 8 (arrival day) to October 15 (departure day), 2026. Draughts-64 competitions will be held in Vietnam for the first time! The competitions will be held in three disciplines: Classic, Rapid and Blitz

The Po Nagar Towers (Tháp Bà Po Nagar) are an ancient temple complex in the city of Nha Trang, which is a unique heritage of the Champa civilization that flourished in what is now Vietnam from the 2nd to the 19th century. These impressive structures are over a thousand years old, making them one of the most significant historical sites in the region. The complex is dedicated to Hindu and Buddhist deities, and it was named after the goddess of motherhood.
The temples are located on the picturesque Cu Lao Hill, which offers stunning views of the Cai River and the cityscapes of Nha Trang. Originally, a wooden shrine was built on this site, but after it was destroyed in the 8th century, the complex was rebuilt using stone and brick. This was the first stone temple in modern-day Vietnam, and it still stands as a testament to its architectural brilliance.
The Golden Bridge
The most photogenic location in Da Nang appeared only in 2018, but has already become a symbol of the city. The bridge, which is one hundred and fifty meters long, is held by two huge stone hands, as if growing out of the mountain slope. The structure is located at an altitude of about 1400 meters in Ba Na Hills Park, which offers a view of the coast and mountain ranges.
You can only get to the Golden Bridge through the amusement park, the ticket costs about 700 thousand dong. This price includes a ride on the cable car, one of the longest in the world, and access to all the park’s attractions. Keep in mind that the weather can be unpredictable at high altitudes, and even on a sunny day, there may be fog at the top.
This will be the first time in Vietnam that a 64-player draughts tournament will be held!

The mandate commission will be open on 8 October from 18:00 to 22:00.

— applications for participation and accommodation booking — no later than July 10, 2026.
— applications for transfers — no later than September 28, 2026.
Applications submitted after the specified deadlines will not be considered.
The cost of accommodation from October 8 to 15, 2026 (for a total of 7 days) is:
from 25,000 RUB (from 336 USD) per person, standard room, double occupancy;
from 44,000 RUB (from 587 USD) per person, Serene Oasic bungalow, double occupancy.
The number of rooms is limited. If the booking is not made in time after July 10 and the payment is not made in time after July 28, there will be no rooms available at the hotel for the competition participants.
