A mix of small and very small tournaments
Strip farming is a term used in Russian historiography to describe the arrangement of land plots in strips, intermingled with other plots. Strip farming emerged in the Russian Empire during regular redistributions of communal land.
Fragmentation, which often reaches negligible levels, devalues such plots, has a harmful effect on the economy, hinders the use of advanced farming systems, gives rise to constant legal disputes and agrarian unrest, undermines the legal foundations of ownership, and exacerbates relations between private landowners and peasants.
Autumn, as always, is full of small tournaments on all continents. They are not connected to each other, but the quality of the games is approximately the same. The fragmentation of the checkers world and the patchwork nature of its blanket are gradually destroying checkers. This reduces the opportunity for full and fruitful development. Checkers players in Latin America only play in Latin America, and only three countries participate in the Asian team championship, and even among the small and proud federations, there is no unity, no consensus, and no order.
In order:
After Trinidad and Tobago, half of the players moved to Curaçao near Venezuela. The distinguishing feature of one tournament from another is the number of strong players. Only A. Shvartsman came to Curaçao from the strong of this world. This tournament will be another easy walk for Alexander Mikhailovich. How much is this a necessary walk? Maybe just for a master class for local players.
We rarely pay attention to the tournaments of small and proud federations. It’s hard for me to write about how adult, sexually mature (at first glance) uncles play with young children in the same tournament and then hang medals on themselves. It takes a lot of disillusionment with life and loneliness to play and masturbate in front of children.
By the way, one proud federation, which pursued B. Druzhinin, shows how it is possible to destroy one well-known tournament until that time and not to collect the strongest players for the memorial of a famous grandmaster. And the neighbors for some reason did not help. Why is this suddenly? They have unity, it seems…
As they say: “For every clever nut, there is always a bolt with a left thread.” Let them continue to demonstrate unity. One and a half coaches in the country will definitely change something.

Tarptautinis šaškių 64 turnyras Arūnui Norvaišui atminti
It’s not a joke about mature men. Imagine 6 adults coming to play with young children. Can you imagine Messi or Ovechkin coming to play in a kindergarten tournament? We feel pity and sympathy for the lonely ones in their useless participation. However, the question of these adults’ maturity remains open. The series “Stuck in Checkers” is an endless episode.
