The international tournament in Curacao turns out to be an easy walk for Alexander Shvartsman. In the past 5 rounds, Alexander Mikhailovich has conducted several training combinations and continues to lead the table alone.
Although the number of participants was small, it is much more than at the semi-finals of Latvia. It is pleasant to note that young players have started to appear in the winners. We are sincerely happy for Polina and Martin.
On September 23, the IDF office received a letter from the FMJD leadership about the termination of the long-term cooperation agreement. This decision of the FMJD was not a surprise for the IDF. The FMJD leadership has been interfering with our work for many years, trying to destroy the competitor in the face of the IDF and create small weak sections within the FMJD for different types of draughts-64 in order to represent draughts-100 in all international organizations as the main and practically the only international discipline in draughts.
Over the past few years the FMJD organization has turned into a political party with radical views that has nothing to do with the development of sports and sports life. For the past twenty years, torn apart by scandals and constant internal contradictions, the organization has been in poverty and has become like a drunken beggar in an underground passage, who extracts phrases from the oral cavity, one after another more brutal and brutal. Only the accordion is missing.
Important! We have postponed our tournament to December and are going to make our dream come true! We invite everyone who loves draughts and professional organization and is not afraid. Taking into account the requests of many participants of our tournaments to organize a good Open tournament, we decided to change the format of our competitions in Bratislava.. So: “Bratislava Open-2024” will be held from December 19 to December 22, 2024!
Margarita Fyodorova made herself a nice present for her 14th birthday! Margarita won two Russian Cup tournaments in a Rapid and Blitz program. At the same time Margarita managed to win Tamara Tansykkuzhina in the Blitz program. The result is impressive!
The World Youth Championship in Russian draughts, as well as the World Cup and the World Championship among veterans will be held in Turkey from November 1 to November 11, 2024.
